When you know the way but you want someone to take you.

“As far back as I can remember, there has always been a place to which I belonged with a certainty that nothing has been able to take from me. When I say place, that means less a geographical locality and more a group of people with whom I am connected and to whom I belong. “

Author: Sindiwe Magona

Will you hold my hand and take me home?
That’s all I want.
That’s all I need.

I promise I will love you like a fool
Hanging a picture of you by the bed
Kissing you awkwardly all the time
Send you flowers and chocolates
Little surprises and lovely texts
Jumping around your feet
Dancing in the mornings
To make you happy.

I love you.
It’s you I need when the sun sets
When the cheese on my pizza is perfect
When the car radio songs make me smile
When I find new sweets at the supermarket
I want to share all this curious cute details
Because I know you will appreciate all of them.
With your eyes and smile that caress my soul.
