#37 Mosaic
Each day I know a new side of you
that I’m sometimes not ready to deal with
It comes harshly and unexpectedly
like that interference in your favourite song
the sudden stone in your shoe
or that red traffic light that scares you
And it forces me to stop and be silent
quietly walking on tip toes
observing where does your boat roam
blues, purples, reds, greens, whites, blacks
all the soul states you radiate and transmit
are a mosaic I am still assembling piece by piece.
People say love is this, accepting all its faces and colours
But no one prepares you for this boiling intimacy
or warns you about the instability each of us have
just by innocently being a normal human.
I hug you, try to soothe you when you’re down
or join your adventures when you go up
but I’m always afraid of that unpredictable lion
should I not be?
do I also have a colour palette?
