It’s raining and cold today
It’s Christmas and I’ve listened
To Mariah Carey’s song a hundred times.
Funny how a oh so typical scenario
can still melt my heart every year.
And grow unexpected feelings
inside my chest
All I want today is you
Glued to my skin
building that warming blanket heat
cuddling and laughing
with nothing to do
nowhere to go
nothing urgent to decide
no one to deal with
life could be simple like this
every single day
Why do we complicate?
Why do we urge and fight and ego?
All we need is in our hands
All the time.
