#105 Afternoon chill

It was all I needed.

“Dusk is just an illusion because the sun is either above the horizon or below it. And that means that day and night are linked in a way that few things are there cannot be one without the other yet they cannot exist at the same time. How would it feel I remember wondering to be always together yet forever apart?”
Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook

Sun is setting
That orange pale light
coming through my window
Cat laying down
Your arms around me
You’re sleeping
Breathing deeply
Little birds pass
the sea sings the moon to come
And I all need is here
Nothing more than this silent moment
This afternoon chill
I’m glad my brain stopped
To come out of my thoughts
And simply feel this scenario
Precious, precious time
How long will I have this privilege?

Thank you.
